Hi I'm Seth

I'm from Southern Arizona, and I'm serving in the Baltic States Mission in northeastern Europe. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing the piano, spending time with family and friends, reading good books, playing sports, having fun with friends, but also going to church, learning about God, and feeling His love. I recently graduated from high school. I played several sports and participated in a few clubs. I was a participant in DECA's ICDC, an international conference/competition. I will go to college after I finish my service in Baltic States Mission. I will probably pursue a degree in engineering, however I haven't quite decided yet. I like to laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I have gone to 'the church' for as long as I can remember. It's part of my heritage. My parents are Mormon, my grandparents are Mormon, my cousins are Mormon, etc. So partially, because it's a family thing. Families are an important part of the Mormon faith. I have prayed to know and have received an answer. The Mormon church, the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, is God's church. The Book of Mormon is His word. Joseph Smith is His prophet. I know that God loves me and wants me to be happy. Through His plan, which I have learned as a member of His church, I know how I can be truly happy, and I am.

How I live my faith

I am from a small town. I love the people, the school, really the community as a whole. Every Sunday, I go to church, and every Thursday I go to religious classes for young adults, where we study the New Testament. Every day I try my best to choose the right. I am thankful to my Savior, Jesus Christ, for His sacrifice for us, the Atonement. I know that I am far from perfect, but thanks to the Atonement, I still have the opportunity to live with God again.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Seth
It is only through the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that we can be saved and live with Him and God our Heavenly Father. However, it is only when we have proved ourselves worthy by our faith through our acts, that we allow the saving grace of the Atonement of Jesus Christ our Redeemer to have claim upon us.
