Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in Michigan and Japan, went to school in Utah, and I have a twin sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was 13 I moved from Michigan where I had been living almost all my life to the amazing country of Japan. My dad works for the military and so we had this amazing opportunity to live somewhere foreign and have so many unique experiences. There in Japan we attended church in a small branch, but it has been a huge blessing in my life, I definitely grew up so much more than I would have if I stayed in Michigan. I love to play video games and make videos with my friends. I love exploring new places and having adventures. I'm currently studying to be a meteorologist so I can help forecast weather and help people be prepared for the future.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in this church, and they are both faithful members who reach out and serve everyone around them. They are such great examples to me of faith and patience, because they dragged all of us 6 kids to church every week, and we also read scriptures together every night and prayed as a family. Those were the best times while I was growing up: spending time together with my family. But there is the time when we grow up and we begin to question everything in the world. What is really true? The church and scriptures teach that all must pray in the name of Jesus Christ if these things are true, and we must ask sincerely, really looking for an answer and being willing to act on it when we receive it. So that's what I did. The answer didnt come right away, it was bit by bit over time as I lived the principles that were taught to me in the church. I've received a witness from the Holy Ghost numerous times about the truthfulness of the restored gospel. I know this church is true, it is Christ's church, restored here upon the earth again in its fullness, to help prepare God's children to return to live with him again. I made a promise to serve the Lord for the rest of my life, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love to share the gospel with others. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to know who I am and why I'm here, and about the plan that God has for me. I want everyone to have this same joy that I have, and I know that God desires for all of his children to come back to him, not just a few. So I know it's important that we live the gospel and show our faith in Jesus Christ by making and keeping sacred covenants, such as baptism and then partaking of the sacrament every Sunday in church. I also love to attend the temple and do these things for those who havent had a chance while they were alive here on earth. There are so many ways to show that we have faith in Christ, and the best way is by serving others, doing kind things for them, because that's exactly all that Jesus Christ did and continues to do.
