Hi I'm Andy

I am a dad, a husband and a boatbuilder. I love anything to do with being on or in the water. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have been married for five years now and have two gorgeous daughters, one is three the other is almost one, as a family we try to go swimming every week, we want our kids to be confident in the water. If we are not at home we are one of four places: beach, park, grandma's house or church. I work as a boatbuilder and I love it! I grew up around boats and had a passion for the sea from a young age, I have plenty of ambitions both at work and at home, my biggest being the desire to have my immediate and my extended family live worthy to return home to our heavenly father and have an everlasting joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because firstly I believe it to be the full truth, the answer to the greatest questions ever: why are we here? Where are we going? Through Jesus Christs gospel I know where I was before this earth, I know why I am here and know where I am aiming to go. I have spent many hours praying and studying in the Bible and the book of mormon, the lds organisation is the only true and exact restoration of the church which Jesus Christ organised during his mortal ministry. It is soon obvious to new members that this is a church of kindness and compassion, it is there to bless lives and to knit together families. I have felt the holy spirit testify to me the truthfullnes of this church and as such I cannot deny what I know to be the truth.

How I live my faith

I have had the oppertunity to be involved with quite a few different areas of the church, I have had teaching callings, leadership callings and youth related callings. As a member of the church I make sure that I fulfill my callings to the best of my ability, whether that be by visiting the homes of other members, to fulfill home teaching assignments, or attending leadership meetings to organise the Branch I attend, or simply taking the youth of the church surfing. I often go out with the missionaries to visit investigators of the gospel, I Find it incredibly rewarding to see people learning about Christ and gaining thier own testimony. Outside of church I try to be the best I can be, I try to set a good example to family, friends and work colleagues and often fall short! At work I am continuously answering questions about the lds church and why I do or refrain from doing certain things. I try to answer each question based on my testimony, I do not shy away from talking about my beliefs, I am proud to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, it makes me who I am.
