Hi I'm Kasee

I grew up in Northern Virginia and am a student majoring in Journalism. I'm now serving a full-time mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life. I am an avid runner, journal-er, cooker, and napper. I am a Journalism major with a passion for writing and learning. I dream of traveling and writing about the world, having a family, and playing with puppies.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there have been times when I have had to learn of its truth for myself. I am continually converted because of the love I feel from my Heavenly Father, and how I see His hand constantly blessing and influencing my life. I know that I am His literal spirit daughter, with a divine heritage, nature, and destiny. I know that His great Plan of Happiness provided a way for us to return to live with Him, and to be happy while in this mortal life, established in families ordained of God. I know that this Plan provided for a perfect Savior, Jesus Christ, to be given for our sins. I have seen the glorious cleansing, healing, and enabling powers of His Atonement in my life. I know He feels what we feel by virtue of His divine sacrifice, and through Him, we can overcome the challenges, disappointments, and pains of this life. I know that after periods of apostasy, out of love our Heavenly Father restored His truth through the Prophet Joseph Smith, who by the power of God, brought forth The Book of Mormon, a record of ancient prophets meant for our day. I know that this book can guide us and lead us to Christ, as truths from its pages continue to bless and brighten my life. I know that the Holy Ghost, a member of the Godhead, can testify of the truth of The Book of Mormon, and of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ contains the pattern of authority as established by Christ when He was on the earth, with prophets and apostles to lead and guide us. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson, who holds the authority of the priesthood established by Christ, and leads and guides the Church in our day. I know he is called of God. Most of all, I know that our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, love us, more than we can comprehend. They desire above all, our happiness. I testify of the truthfulness of these things.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ provides a pattern of living that brings immense joy, purpose, and peace. I live my faith by incorporating gospel truths into everyday life. I cherish the moments I get to feast upon the word of God contained in The Bible and Book of Mormon, of expressing my heart to my Heavenly Father in daily prayer, serving and getting to know others, participating in Church meetings and organizations, and engaging in wholesome activities with family and friends.
