Hi I'm Wendy

I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a transplanted Texan, born and raised in SLC, Utah. I live in a beautiful little town in Southeast Texas. I am a wife with a wonderful loving husband. I am a mother of 1 daughter and 2 stepdaughters. I am the proud grandmother of 7 grandkids and one on the way. I have 1 grandson in the US Air Force who is married to an amazing young lady, so I guess I really have 8 grandkids! And very proud of all of them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of Mormons, with a long history in the church. I have pioneer ancestors who suffered much for the right to worship their chosen religion. I have a geneology line that my mother has traced back to Adam. I enjoy doing geneology and researching the lives of my ancestors. I was baptised at 8 years old and quit going to church when I was about 14 years old. As a teenager we don't always make the best decisions and the decision to stop going to church was one of the worst I've ever made. Although I didn't go to church I knew the teachings were true and would defend it and it's teachings to anyone. . After 20 years of "trying to find myself", I returned to the church where the joy I was looking for had been all along. I have never been as happy as I am today as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

How I live my faith

I work with the women of our church and am a member of the Relief Society program, which is the largest women organization in the world. We serve the needs of those around us. We learn things like self-reliance, homemaking skills, emergency preparedness and crafts, things to improve our homes and families. We as sisters of this church meet together every Sunday to learn more about Jesus Christ, his teaching and the great sacrifice he made for us. We learn how the Atonement is the greatest blessing we can have in this life. We learn how to follow and live the teachings of Christ.
