Hi I'm Tina

I'm a California girl. I'm a single mom. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I've been married twice, widowed once and am now divorced. I have two great kids. It's hard being a single mom, but it's a great adventure! When I'm not working, doing homework or playing with my kids, I love to read and spend time with my friends. We love to get outdoors and go hiking or rafting down the river. Someday I'd like to get back to college and earn my degree.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was a small child, so I have been raised in the church. As a teenager I became disenchanted with my peers in the church and started to pull myself away from it. Without the church in my life I went down a hard road in my late teens and early 20's. I hit my rock bottom. I missed the peace I had felt from righteous living and with the help of a wonderful man who became my first husband, and the repentance process, I came back fully into the church once more. I have such a strong testimony and belief in the teachings of the church that I know I can never deny it's truths. Through many experiences I have felt the love and peace that only comes from God. I know he has a plan for me and is there to help me through the challenges I face in my life. I know that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He does not change. Through studying the scriptures I have gained a deeper understanding of how he works. I know that part of his plan is to have a prophet on the earth to lead his people and I believe that this church has the true prophet of the Lord leading it today.

How I live my faith

I take my kids to church with me each Sunday. I love to hear the speakers talk of Christ and his example. I help plan and put on activities each month for the church's women's organization. We are always doing something fun and educational. Each month I have a few other ladies that I write to who can't get out to church and send them inspirational thoughts. I'm so grateful for the church members who help each of us feel that we are important and needed. I have the opportunity to also attend early morning scripture study classes during the week. I love the deeper understanding of the scriptures that I can recieve by doing so and it makes such a wonderful start to my day.
