Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in a small town. I traveled throughout the world in search of truth about God and my purpose. I am a Mormon.

About Me

The world is a busy place. I find solace in nature and in knowing the plan of salvation. I enjoy serving the elderly, and people who need extra assistance because through them I see the world with new perspective and wonder. When I have some free time I enjoy cooking, being in the garden, viewing or creating art, and exercise.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because during the years when I was searching for understanding about God, truth and pupose in my life, I was lead to a member of the church who opened her home to me. She became my roomate and my friend. She shared her conversion experience with me. Other members of the church, shared a short message in our home, which message, filled me with happiness and peace, that I remember feeling when I was a child and had been missing for some time. Following this experince, I felt more comfortable to meet with missionaries from the church. My first meeting with them left me with an incredible lasting peace that I had never experienced before. I also came to know that what I was looking for in my years of searching was the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.I kept meeting with the missionaries, I kept having spiritual experiences that let me know what I was learning was true. I had some major concerns about the church, and the life style I would be commiting to lead if I were to be baptised. These concernes included: my identiy, and who I thought I was, I didn't measure up to the "church girl" image, and was uncertain I could commit my life to following the example of Jesus Christ. As I brought my concerns to Heavenly Father in prayer, I was comforted by the Holy Ghost, and I knew that my prayers were heard because peace was restored to my soul. I was baptised in 2006 at the age of 25. I've since served a full time mission for the church and am currenly pressuing further education in human services. I am a member of the church today, because I have never been let down by Heavenly Father. Even though I have unanswered questions, and times of confusion, I am given enough to know that He knows me, and loves me, that He is the father of my spirit, and He has a plan for me. I find joy in missionary work, in service and in searching the scriptures which all contribute to enriching my life and discovering joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily through my thoughts and actions. I read from the scriptures seeking inspiration in ways to apply gospel teachings into my life and I look for opportunities to serve others. I often take an inventory of my goals, attitudes and plans, to see if the life I am leading is in accordance with Gods will and my goal to return to Him after this life.
