Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Bountiful. I teach elementary school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love people. I love meeting new people, learning about new cultures, and hearing everyone's story. I enjoy doing anything outdoors and active. I love sports, snowboarding, dancing, and eating cookie dough. I relish in any time I have to sit down and read a good book or have a meaningful conversation with someone. I graduated from Brigham Young University and have been blessed with the best job ever, teaching elementary school. I enjoy living abroad and was privileged to study abroad in New Zealand for several months as well as in Uganda while doing humanitarian work.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into a wonderful and very religious family, I went through a period when I wanted to know for myself if everything my parents were teaching me was true. I began a journey of searching and praying to know if this church is true. It was through the quiet, yet powerful, thoughts and feelings from the Holy Ghost that I received my answer. I received that priceless confirmation that this is Jesus Christ's church on the face of the earth once again. Not only have I prayed and received this confirmation, but I have lived the teachings in this church, and I've seen how my life has been better because of it. I've seen how all of God's promises are sure. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows us personally. I have seen God's hand in my life too many times to deny it. I know that living God's commandments brings true peace and happiness. I know that there is no happiness outside of God's plan of happiness. I'm a Mormon and I love it. It defines who I am and who I ultimately hope to become. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that he lives and that he will come again. It is through Jesus Christ that we can be delivered. I know that this church provides the only way to access all of the blessings God is waiting to give us. This is THE way to live with our Heavenly Father and our families forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday of my life. I live it in the way I think, talk, and act. I live it in how I treat other people, how I handle trials, and how I spend my time. I have had many opportunities to serve throughout my life, some within the church and some without. Although many of these responsibilities have included organizing different activities and projects, I have found the most joy through serving others on a personal level. It is through serving and ministering to individual people that I have come to know more intimately my Savior. As I have lost myself in the pursuit of serving others, I am the one who has forever been changed. I live my faith everyday of my life. It's not just what I do, it's who I am.
