Hi I'm Emily

From Utah❤️ I am way normal except that I'm a Mormon understanding that along with all Gods children I have unlimited potential.

About Me

I am 20 years old and the youngest of five children. I've been going to college and paused to go on a mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ which is everything to me. I have 6 nieces and nephews that all live near me so I can spend a lot of time with them. I love music and dancing. I love outdoor activities, hiking, rock climbing, soccer, running. I love learning about most things. Reading and experiencing college has been amazing and eye opening. I have been blessed with some amazing friends. Within my relationships I am indebted to quite a few people for their kindness and love, those people have become a lot of who I am. These are a few things that make my life joyful to live.

Why I am a Mormon

I outlined many of the ways I live my faith. Through striving to live this way, I have come to an undeniable understanding of God's love for me and the truth of His commandments, prophets, and scriptures. As I continue, I see more clearly and am able to trust in my Heavenly Father more deeply. Even though I don't know everything, I can know with surety a few things. This will allow me to have constant faith and trust for the rest of my life. Studying the promises God has made to those who will follow His path and love Him are absolutely overwhelming and has humbled me to the core, to the point that my actions, thoughts, and words are changing. Nothing has made me happier than to experience that love and change in me.

How I live my faith

Living my faith brings more excitement and joy to my life than anything else. There are truths given by Jesus Christ behind everything we should strive to do. I go to church every week to learn and take the sacrament for three hours. I attend a ward for young single adults. Callings are extended to each member for involvement and service. My calling is to plan activities on Monday nights so we can gather together and have fun. I go to the temple almost every week. God's plan has provided a perfect path for us to receive His glory, along that path we must make certain promises so he can bless us. Most of those promises happen in the temple. I have made those promises once for myself and I continue going to the temple to give my ancestors the opportunity to make those same promises. I read from the Book of Mormon and pray every morning and night. Every six months we have general conference which lasts two days. During those days we listen to our prophet and apostles speak to us words of encouragement and counsel directly from God. I fast the first day of every month and then give a small amount of money to our church for charity efforts along with 10% of all the money I make to build temples and churches etc. God has given some very direct commandments concerning chastity and health. I try to keep my body healthy in any way I can especially by not drinking coffee or tea or taking drugs. As my body is a gift from God I also need to keep myself pure. Intimate sexual relations are meant to be expressed within a marriage for very important reasons. Because I am not married, an expression of my understanding and faith is by waiting. Strong family relationships are of so much value in God's eyes so I really try to show my love for my family and those I have contact with. As I have tried to consistently do all these things I have messed up but God knows of my weaknesses and lovingly encourages me to keep trying.
