Hi I'm Sandi

I'm a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a mental health therapist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 39-years-old and have been married for 13 years to a wonderful man who is both an amazing husband and father. We have been blessed with four bright, beautiful and healthy children. I am also a mental health therapist and work a few days a week, helping individuals to find joy, peace and healing in their lives. In what little spare time I have, I love to read and do so as often as I can fit it in. As a family, we love to spend time together and our favorite thing to do is travel and to learn about new places and different cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. However, that doesn't mean that I was automatically given a testimony of the gospel. I strayed from the church in my late teens and early 20's and it was in my mid-20's that I finally realized how much the gospel had to offer me. It is within the tenants of the gospel where I find true peace and happiness. I wholeheartedly believe that this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, the very same teachings and principles that he taught and lived while he was on the earth. As such, I believe that through the ordinances of the gospel, I can be sealed to and live with my family for all eternity. I take comfort in the fact that my husband and I are sealed together forever and that death will not end our marriage covenants. I also believe that there is a prophet on the earth today just the same as there were prophets on the earth in ancient times. Our modern-day prophet, Thomas S. Monson has much to teach and tell us about what God wants for us in these modern days. Modern revelation combined with ancient scriptures give me so much guidance in my life and for that I am truly grateful.

How I live my faith

First and foremost, I live my faith by praying regularly and maintaining a close relationship with my loving Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. Next, I serve! I look for any opportunity to serve those around me and often I am guided through answers to my prayers, to find individuals who are in need of service. I also serve in the presidency of the women's organization in our church; this gives me ample opportunity to get to know and serve the other women with whom I attend worship services as well as others in our community. Additionally, I teach my children about how much Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love them and I teach them to serve others as well. My children love to go with me when I am serving others, whether that be to drop a meal off to a family, clean the church building, visiting the sick or the elderly, etc.
