Hi I'm Maddie

I live in Arizona. I'm a mother. I love to read and dream of publishing books for children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two young daughters. I love to play the piano, read, be outside, and dance. Someday I will graduate college and take piano lessons again. But for now my focus is on prepareing our girls to make and reach their own goals.

Why I am a Mormon

Something I have always loved about this Church is its commitment to family. Growing up I was terrified of Death. When I confronted my mother about my fear she taught me about a loving Heavenly Father. A Heavenly Father who provided a plan for our family to be together for eternity. My mother taught me that no matter what happened to us in this life, whether short or long, we will be together again after we die. I know that what my mother taught me is true. I know that we existed before we came to earth. I know that the purpose we are here now is to become better and to prepare to be with God. I know that because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection that we will have power over death and be with our loved ones again. This church gives purpose to my life. It brings peace that I know cannot come from anything else.

How I live my faith

I work with the Young Women (ages 12-18) in our Church and have grown to love the youth because of it. I love seeing the Young Women gain real self-worth by understanding who they really are. They come to understand that they are a daughter of God with great potential. Because of their purity and willingness to do hard things I become more committed to God and our Savior Jesus Christ.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Maddie
By studying the scriptures you are exposing yourself to truth about God and his son Jesus Christ. The scriptures teach us how to be better people. If we apply what we learn from our personal study of scripture a great power will come into our life. A power that comes from no other book. I have seen this happen in my own life. When I apply what I learn from scriptures; I care about people more, I am inspired on how to help people, and am more content with life. Show more Show less
