Hi I'm Sister Lindh

I have been called to serve in the Ogden Utah mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm a mormon!

About Me

My hometown is Houston, Texas, but I haven't lived there for long. I have lived in 8 different cities and 5 different states; though, I hadn't lived in Utah before my mission. =) I love to learn and to study different things. I was in school to become a nurse because my favorite subject is biology and people! I have chosen to put my education on hold though to serve the Lord. I plan to transfer to BYU, Provo to earn a BSN after having served my mission. My favorites are: color, blue; music; everything! (especially classic and 80's); food, meat!; and current TV show, Dr. Who. I am a band geek; I play 3 brass instruments. I was in marching band for 6 years and hope to march for BYU or a drum corp. I also play the piano, which is also my calling in the YSA branch. I love to sing and you can almost always catch me humming a tune. I hope to one day be a great mother and wife. I want to have a family and I am doing my best now to become one. I look up to my parents and other church leaders because of they're amazing examples. Most importantly, I am a disciple of Christ. He is my Savior, Redeemer, and big brother. I love Him and I am so grateful to live with the knowledge of His gospel. I try my best each day to do as He asks, but when I mess up, I know that I can go to Him for forgiveness and mercy. My ultimate goal is to live with Him and Heavenly Father again with my own family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have pondered and prayed about the Book of Mormon. When I asked my Heavenly Father if this book is true, I could feel reassurance from the Holy Ghost; I just knew that it was true. I also asked about the prophet Joseph Smith and had the same feeling. I know that if these two things are true that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's true church. I love the Lord, His Son, Jesus Christ, and I want to follow Their commandments. I do this by attending Christ's church and trying my best to live His commandments each day. I believe in Christ and His great sacrifice for me. I believe that I can repent of my sins and that one day, I'll get to live with my Heavenly Father and my Savior again. My faith helps me get through each day. I know I can do anything as long as I keep my testimony and faith strong.

How I live my faith

Faith, without actions, is dead. I can say I believe and live the gospel all my life, but until I SHOW that I love the gospel, my words are meaningless. As such, I live my faith through my daily actions. I try to pray everyday, read my scriptures, and be better. I pray to have opportunities to help others and as such, I'm always on the lookout to help someone else. Sometimes, all someone needs is a smile and a short "Hi!". I try to stay optimistic so that I know that every interaction is a good one. I try to make all of my actions match the Savior's. I want to be like Him and love others as He did. Service is a huge part of that. But so is attitude. That's why I take joy in my religion.
