Hi I'm Miranda

My passion is the gospel; I love my family, I love to run, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student and Brigham Young University studying to become a speech/language pathologist. I love people and I love learning more about all of our divine natures. I'm going to be serving as a missionary for the church in Colorado Springs, and I couldn't be more excited! I'm the youngest of four children and I love my family to pieces.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I LOVE it. Without the gospel I would be nothing. When I'm having a tough time at school or a bad day I know that I can always turn to the lord in prayer, or to the scriptures. I was born and raised in the church, but I was truly converted a couple of years ago. I didn't have a vision or anything, but rather my testimony came in bits and pieces. I've had many trials, but as long as I look to the Lord I know that I will be okay. I know that the Lord is always there for us, and when we call he will come. Only we have the key to unlock the door that will let Him in- he loves us! He loves us so much that we can never even comprehend what he has done for us in order to help us be happy. I know that Jesus Christ is the savior and Redeemer of the world, and no pit is so deep that He is not deeper still. I am so grateful that I have this gospel in my life, because without it I would never have tasted such sweet joy,

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to emulate the example of Jesus Christ. I'm far from perfect, but I've noticed that as I try with my whole heart to serve others, read my scriptures, and pray, I feel closer to heaven, and I gain a deeper appreciation for my faith and my Savior.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

The Bible is another testiment of Jesus Christ- we believe in the Bible AND the Book of Mormon because they both testify about the divinity and ministry of Jesus. Show more Show less

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

I've been blessed with friends who share my faith in Jesus Christ. Because of that, we share in each other's struggles and triumphs, in understanding answers to questions about the church, in our families, our school work, our church callings, etc. etc. The joint faith brings us into a relationship not just with each other, but with God also. Because we believe that we can be forgiven of our sins and empowered to do good through Jesus Christ, we are always striving to be the best versions of ourselves. I don't think we would be able to get through the rough patches in our relationships without that. I'm not married yet, but when I am, I know that faith in Jesus Christ will bring me and my spouse together in the same way it has brought me and my friends together. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Alma 34:32 reads, "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors." The ultimate purpose of life is to prepare to meet God. The way we can do this is by performing our labors. We do this by learning how to understand the difference between good and evil and choose good, gaining experience, and forming deep relationships with others, especially with your family members. As we do these things, we will understand more deeply our purpose as children of God, and be ready to one day meet Him again with joy and love. Show more Show less
