Hi I'm Devin

I grew up in small farming/ranching town with a population of 200. I am a student studying Biology and Chemistry.

About Me

I am a Senior studying Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I have a sincere love of science and believe that my faith and research go hand in hand. I am a huge outdoor person, enjoy camping, hiking, skeet shooting, hunting, skiing, and just being outside. I also play the drums both a set and an African Djembe.

Why I am a Mormon

I gained my testimony by praying to know if the Book of Mormon is true and whether or not His gospel has been restored on the earth today. I was working as a docks crewman up in Alaska at the time and was separated from my family and born and raised beliefs. It was this time that I began to really question and pray to know if what I was taught was true. Nothing extraordinary happened, but a peaceful reassurance of the love that God has for me. I quietly but powerfully received my answer that the gospel has been restored that Jesus Christ lives and loves us very much. That he did appear to the Prophet Joseph Smith and restore His authority on the earth. That all of this was to take place so that He can come again.

How I live my faith

I have served as a counselor in a bishopric, which administers to the needs of the ward both its members and its finances. Along with this I have served as a employment specialist that has done resume workshops and networked surrounding areas to find employment for young adults.
