Hi I'm Warren

I grew up in PIttsburgh, Pa. I was raised as a Catholic. Became a member in 1971.

About Me

I am in my second marriage and a father of five combined children and five grandchildren. I enjoy photography and have started my own business. I do landscapes, weddings and portraits. I enjoy riding my motorcycle and doing trips. I have done a cross country trip, traveling over 7,000 miles. I love the Sierra's mountains and doing day hike. I have recently gotten a German Shepard puppy, which now is 6 months olds and enjoy walking with her at our local hills. I enjoy sports, more watching now then when I was younger :-)

Why I am a Mormon

My religious background, I was raised as a Catholic. During my teenage years, I would ponder at before I would fall asleep, questions I had at that time about religion. One thought that I still remember, is what would happen to me after I die? The answer, came clearly, that I would return to my Father in heaven. That I would be going back to Heavenly Father, meaning that I had left Him. I had a strong feeling that I lived with Him before I came to this life, hence I would be returning. In my later teenage years, I met members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who were talking about playing volleyball. One thing lead to another and they invited me to play on their fast pitch softball team. What a wonderful time I had. The team played well and we got to travel to Salt Lake City for a church tournament. I was asked to attend the church services. As I listen to the topics, I heard answer to my questions, such as what would happen to me after I die. I took the missionaries discussions and felt the spirit testify the truth of the message of the gospel. I then chose to be baptized, by my friend who introduced to the church and would soon be leaving to serve his mission. I now look back and am grateful to be introduce to the gospel as a teenager and become a member. it has blessed my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently working with 11 years scouts as an assistant scout master. We have several camping trip plan for the upcoming year. Our goal for each scout is to have them reach 1st Class before their 12th birthday. We have a near by historical farm, that I have volunteer to help with. We have built planter boxes and general weeding. I have also done community service with the city. I try to live worthy to honor the priesthood, by serving others, visiting the members of our ward giving lessons and helping when I can, such as giving rides to our church services.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

I am thankful for Jesus Christ, he is our savior, performing the Atonement, He has saved us from our sins. He is the son of God and therefore was able to be a perfect being. By following His teaching we will become a better person and be able to help others. Show more Show less
