Hi I'm Johnny

I grew up in Southern California. I love being at the beach! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I can't get enough sports. Playing, watching, talking about them. I really got into hurdling in highschool and developed a passion for it. I almost tried out for my college's track team, but decided to focus on school instead. There's nothing like hitting your top speed with your spikes on an all-weather track and just striding it out over hurdles. I also love music and use to be in a band. I played drums, but I love to sing and play piano also. Like i said earlier, I'm in love with the beach. I would go every spare second I could during the summer. I love the sea breeze, the heat, the feel of the sand on your feet or back. Play some football on the sand with your friends and then just getting into the water to cool off. Fighting with the waves, body-surfing them or whatever you choose! The beach is my favorite place in the world. I just got done with a year of college and I am looking to go into business. College life is fun, hard, and rewarding. I love studying hard during the week and relaxing during the weekends. I also have seven brothers and sisters. I'm the youngest and most of my brothers and sisters are married and have kids. So I have about 14 neices and nephews. And I love every one of them!!

Why I am a Mormon

All of my siblings are half-brothers and half-sisters. Both my Mom and my Dad were each married to another spouse before and had kids with them. I am the only child of my Mom and Dad together. It's almost like I was the bridge between the two families. The baby both families could claim! My Mom's kids and my Dad's kids actually came together pretty easy and liked each other. We were all pretty young still. My Mom has always been Mormon, but my Dad converted a couple months before meeting my Mom. He grew up Catholic, but didn't really actively go to church. All of my Mom's kids are Mormon still and 1 out of 4 of my Dad's kids chose to become Mormon. I've grown up Mormon my whole life, but I've chosen to stay, I've chosen to continue because I have seen the difference it has made in the life of my siblings. The ones who are Mormon have this glow to them, this energy, and excitement and love. I know it comes from the knowledge and faith they have in Christ. My siblings who aren't Mormon are amazing people and I love them to death. They just don't have the same goals or ideas in life that their step siblings have. I know this Gospel makes a difference in life because I have seen it. I know that as we do the things that God asks us to do we can be happy. I know that as we have faith in Jesus Christ He can help us through any hard time. I know because I have seen it, and because I have experienced it. Christ is waiting for us to come to him, so He can help us. All we have to do is ask.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by serving a mission. I am going out to spread the good news of our Brother, and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am doing this for two years straight, and I give up things like seeing my family and talking to them on the phone, having a girlfriend, seeing movies, and even going to the beach and in the water! Even though it's a lot of sacrifices for two years of my life I know it's worth it. I have had so much happiness and joy in my life because of my religion and I decided it was time to share it with those around the world. I have been given so much; now it's time for me to share the good news of Jesus Christ and how He can bless your life if you come unto Him.
