Hi I'm Lynette

I was born and raised in Idaho. I am a wife and a mom of 5 children. I am a small business owner. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom of 5 children and a Grandmother of two. My husband and I recently began designing and selling wedding dresses. I am also a long-arm quilter and a substitute teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in Finance. I love learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be one. I have found that living the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not only bring happiness and joy, but they help me to avoid painful problems. This is not to say that I have not experienced painful trials. Everyone on earth has problems and difficulties; that is an important part of life. Here is an example of trials living the gospel can avoid: My husband and I have chosen to be faithful to each other and committed to each other, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and our family, thus we have not experienced the pain and problems associated with infidelity and divorce, remarriage, step-parenting, etc. This does not mean that our marriage is perfect or that we do not have difficulties. We have financial issues and frustrations with each other and with our children that we have to work out. However, we have found that if we follow the principles of the Gospel that Jesus taught, we are able to work out our problems and endure through the hard times. I have learned that I can have a sense of peace and joy even in the most difficult and painful situations. Having faith in Jesus Christ and a knowledge of the atonement have given me peace in the present and hope for better things to come. I love the knowledge that our family can be together after we die. This principle brings such joy and happiness to me. There is nothing that brings me more joy than the hope that I can be with my husband and children in eternity. I know Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's entirety to the earth and am so grateful to be able to partake of it's blessings; now and forever.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church. I have served as a leader in the women's organization and enjoyed learning about the richness of women's lives in many diverse circumstances. A wonderful mentor told me that "There is a need in every home". It is a wonderful experience to be able to go into homes and help meet a need that is there, even if it is a little one. I also have the opportunity to serve as a local missionary. I love sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching His messages. I want to everyone to know that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them individually. The most important ways I live my faith is by raising and teaching my children in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I try to be an example of faith, courage and service to them. I try to show my commitment to Jesus Christ by my actions. I try to be unselfish, kind, hardworking, and faithful.
