Hi I'm Rosalie

I live in Arizona, I love dancing, horses, and having fun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 5th child out of nine in my family. I like being right in the middle because I have two brothers and two sisters to look up to, and two brothers and two sisters that I am responsible to be an example for. I absolutely love dancing. I am a dancer at my school, in both contemporary/ballet/jazz and ballroom. The feeling I get when performing up on the stage is unlike any other. I love to serve people in any way I can, whether it's making cookies and bringing them to a friend or doing something more long-term; I love to help people feel loved and cared for. I also love to work with the football team at my school. I am a trainer for my team, which means I work out with them, I do first aid, fill water bottles, and do whatever else the coaches ask. It is a fun way to serve and get to know new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life. Like most children, I started out depending on the testimonies of others to strengthen my own. But as I have grown, among all the things I have learned is why I, personally, am a member of His church. It is not because my dad or my best friend loves it, but because I love this gospel that I continue to be a part of it. So many trials in my life have tried to pull me way from this precious gospel, but as I have clung to it through everything, it taught me that my Savior does truly love me. He knows how it feels for me to go through trials I am given throughout my life. Having a knowledge of His Plan of Happiness is joy in and of itself. It reassures me that every sorrow I have or have had, is a passing thing. I have learned how to listen to the Spirit and follow its promptings, as it always leads me down a path to happiness. The Priesthood has been one of the greatest blessings in my life so far. Through blessings given by my dad or other worthy Priesthood holders, I have received comfort, peace of mind, healing, and many other blessings which have undoubtedly helped me push through thick and thin. Inspiration comes through those blessings that give me the understanding and capacity to help my loved ones through adversities in their lives as well. Once, in my seminary class, we were all asked: "What would you do if the scriptures were taken from you, or if you never had them?" My first thoughts were of complete devastation. Without the Book of Mormon and all of the other scriptures, my life would be drastically different. The scriptures provide comfort in ways that nothing else can, and offer inspiration as well. The Book of Mormon is the foundation of our gospel; without them, it would fall apart. I can't express in words how much the gospel of Jesus Christ means to me in my life, but I know without a doubt that it is true, and nothing can shake me from where stand.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? I love everyone. Christ taught us that we should have charity, which is "the pure love of Christ". Unconditional love. Loving unconditionally doesn't sound too hard, but it can take lots of practice. I know because it took me a long time to finally understand what it means. However, I still don't know everything. I am still learning every day.
