Hi I'm Micah

I'm from Detroit. I love football. I'm a missionary. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student from Michigan and I love playing football along with rugby. I also have a family who I love very much. I also love this Restored Gospel and am grateful for it. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Alaska, and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

Well the obvious answer is because my parents were and so I was too! But now that am older that is not enough and I have found for myself that this is true through personal prayer and study, along with expiriencing the Saviors atonement in my life. I cannot bring others to Gospel if I can only testify that "My parents know this is true". I can only be a successful missionary if I testify that I know this is true! I have found for myself that this is Christ's true church on the Earth today and that everyone can gain this same wittness through reading and praying about The Book Mormon. The Book of Mormon is the keystone of this religon. If it is true, then Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God and the priesthood, along with the authourity of running Christ's church has been restored though him.

How I live my faith

I love reading my scriptures and learning more about the gospel! I always try to remember that faith is an action word and I show my faith by doing things that bring me closer to Christ. Right now I am showing my faith by serving a mission in Alaska. I have defenitly come closer to Christ on my mission. I have seen the Atonement at work in the lives of other people, I have felt just a little as He felt, and that includes the joy and the pain of His life. I have also come to love children of God and have begun to feel that "Love of God" mentioned in the Book of Mormon after the inhabitants of the land come to know Christ(4 Nephi 1:15). I dearly love the people I serve on my mission and Alaska has become a sacred place to me.

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

The Chruch is very adamently against abortion. I personally an Pro-Choice, but only before conception. Every woman has the right to choose wether or not she should have a child, but that choice needs to be made before conception. After a baby is concieved however, that woman no longer has the right to choose because a litteral child of God is growing within her.
