Hi I'm James Harris

I slackline, longboard, and snowboard. I am serving a mission in the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission and I'm a Mormon

About Me

My favorite things to do are longboarding, snowboaridng and slacklining. I love doing anything outside and I love the mountains. I am a geology major and currently study at Utah State University. I am also a music minor and sing in choirs as often as I can. My favorite kind of music is barbershop quartet singing.

Why I am a Mormon

Everyone wants to be happy in this life. That is why I am a member of this church. I have experienced what the world offers and it is all temporary. But the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings lasting and true joy and happiness. By having faith in Christ, repenting, being baptized and recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, we can ALL return to live with our Father in Heaven. He wants everyone to come back to him and I am so thankful that He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to provide the way. He wants us to be happy and by following Christ, we can feel what true really is.

How I live my faith

I do simple things to build and keep my faith like reading scriptures and praying. As a missionary, I teach people about Christ and how following him brings true joy and contentment in life. Reading about Christ and praying is essential because there is no way I can teach about my Savior if I don't even know what He did for me or who He is. As I learn more, I am able to teach more effectively and help people learn for THEMSELVES that Jesus is the Christ, the savior and redeemer of the world.
