Hi I'm Davis Podeszwa

I grew up in London, ON Canada, and was known as a gym rat for basketball and volleyball.

About Me

I'm a baller for life! I just am addicted to the game of basketball, have always been growing up. I am a husband to a beautiful and loving wife, also a father of 4 beautiful girls. They are my life. I am a small business owner of an alarm company, fun stuff ;) I enjoy my calling as 1st counsellor in the bishopric. I love fishing, outdoor things at the lake i.e. wakeboarding, boating, etc... I am a collector of money, and enjoy buying awesome things. When it comes to movies, I am 'the' stereotypical kind of guy who loves action packed and thrillers, sci-fi and things of the sorts (good clean comedies as well, like Nacho Libre). Fav all time movie right now is the Avengers!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, my parents did their best to bring me up knowing what they knew to be true, so I followed and eventually had my own personal strong experiences of my own, and one that truly stands out was when I was in the temple in Provo as I was preparing to be a missionary. As I asked if the Book of Mormon was true, I received a very fast response in my mind saying it was. After that I knew with confidence that the church was true, and that I could continue on telling others of it. I always knew it was true, as I had felt the spirit on numerous occasions, but I don't think I ever really asked Heavenly Father directly since I felt in my heart it to be true. But I found that as I grow, I still firm up my own conviction through each miraculous experience in my life, and there are many. I served a full time mission in one of the greatest places on earth (Paris France), and there caught a small glimpse of how the Savior lived his life on the earth when he was here.

How I live my faith

I love to serve, whether this be in my home, outside in the community or at church. There aren't many better feelings in life than to bless the lives of others. I am one of the leaders in my church, thus have ample opportunities to serve at church, but I truly enjoy it! Everyday I try to think of ways to improve my own personal faith, it's not perfect yet, but my Heavenly Father helps me out as I fall.

What is being a Mormon like?

It's a way of life, a very happy way of life. You will look at life differently once you know the true plan of salvation that Heavenly Father has laid out for us all. You will realize that everyone is your brother and sister, and you will have a love for them. It's weird, but true :) Your relationship with your spouse and everyone will change, since you will have an eternal look on the future. Show more Show less
