Hi I'm Keane

And I love Jesus!

About Me

I was born and raised in Rupert Idaho. Small towns are the best places to grow up because you get to experience all the things that youth should experience whether it was jumping on the tramp, wrestling my brothers, riding the fourwheelers or shooting birds with my bb gun. Ever since I was young I have always loved anything that is motorized or has wheels. That interest has influence who I have grown into today. I Love action sports like fourwheeling, jeeping, snowmobiling, snowboarding, wakeboarding, cliff jumping, rock climbing and other similar activities. In my family I am the second youngest of six and my family means everything to me! Before my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I attended a year of school at BYU-Idaho and I loved it! I hope to return there after my mission and graduate in Construction Management. I work road construction and hope to continue in that line of buisness after I have graduated. I eventually want to become a husband and great father and provider for my families needs.

Why I am a Mormon

My family on my Dads side has been members for about 5 generations. My Mom converted when she was in her teens so i grew up in the church. All throughout my childhood I never really doubted the church because it was what I grew up knowing. My parents did good in raising me the way they did because they never forced church on me. They always gave me the choice to attend church or not but made sure I understood what my decision meant. I knew the importance of church and the Gospel but I didn't have a true solid testimony of it, that foundation that is necessary. It wasn't until about a year before I decided to serve a mission that I really wanted and needed to know for myself if the church was true. So I started reading the Book of Mormon, not just reading to get through it, but reading to truly understand it and applying it to my life so I could benefit from it. I took Moroni's promise to heart which is to read and pray to know if the book is true. At that time I could feel His Spirit bearing testimony to me that it was and it was the most calming and comforting feeling to know this. By being baptized I am able to have that same feeling with me all the time, to direct me and to be a refuge for me, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

All growing up I attended Church and the many activities that were held for the youth. I became an Eagle Scout and still cherish all that I learned and all the memories I have of Scouting. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Tempe, Arizona Mission for two years, inviting others to come unto Christ so that they can have the joy and peace in their life that has blessed mine so much. This was the greatest experience of my life at the time. I loved being able to devote all my time and attention to helping others improve the quality of their life. I am a true believer that if you are having a bad day or feeling down, you go out and serve someone else. When we are serving others it gets our mind off of us and focused on the needs of others. The best part is that the Holy Spirit will touch our hearts testifying to us that God is pleased with what we have done. How can we still be having a bad day after we have felt the Spirit? it's just not possible! :)
