Hi I'm Ellie Holden

I love my family and friends, I love to swim and I love being Mormon

About Me

I am from a small town on the east coast of England. All my family are church members and I live with my Mum, Dad and brother. I have four other siblings that have moved out and I am the youngest. I'm 16 and have been a member of the church all my life. I love sport! I like watching football and rugby and I swim for my local team, Great Yarmouth Swimming Club, with my three non-member best friends. On Saturday mornings I help teach the little kids how to swim too and I absolutely love it. I am in my last year of high school and I'm about to start college. I love to scrapbook so then I can remember all the memories with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger I went because my Mum and Dad use to take me. But now that I am older, I have learnt to love the gospel. If it wasn't in my life I don't know what I would do. I know that this gospel and church is true and it was restored my the Prophet Joseph Smith who was called by God. I know we have a living prophet today who is the seer and revelator called by God today. I know my Father in Heaven loves me as he sent his son to die for me so that I can return to him once again. I know that through the power of prayer I can talk to him and he will answer me.

How I live my faith

I basically live my faith through being an example to others. I go to church every Sunday and I'm not ashamed to tell people where I go. I get involved with any activities that have been organised and go to Youth every Thursday night. I completed my personal progress book (a book for Young Women aged between 12-18) just before my 16th birthday. This book means so much to me. I've learnt so much about myself and I feel closer to my Saviour and Heavenly Father. I feel more able to live my values and standards and will stick up for them. This is another way I live my Faith. All my friends know my values and they respect them too. If people ask me questions about my values or in general I will answer them the best I can.
