Hi I'm Allan

I'm a former Marine and recent convert to the LDS church.

About Me

I'm the father of two beautiful children who inspire me daily. I'm also a plumber in the area. I am a former Marine who got out and went to college and met my now wife soon after.

Why I am a Mormon

I had stopped believing in God many years ago.  I used to go to church every week as a child. There was a time when my grandmother passed away that I started to drift away from church. Then a number of years later my grandfather died and I never went back to church. It wasn't until I met my wife that I even went back to church at all. We went to a number of churches till I said enough.. Our lives were in a downward spiral of fighting and me following a lousy path with addictions, unkind acts and spitefulness towards others going to church. We were truly about to part ways when I had to go away to training. While i was there My wife told me they were talking to and going to the morman church up the street. She asked me if I wanted to check it out and in true Wife fashion already had the place I could go and the times of the service. Any time Katy does all the research I just usually do it..So I went to the service by myself. I was truly taken aback by the way people came up to me to talk and ask were I was from etc. I made it through first hour and everyone's testimonies and when everyone got up to go to second hour I didn't know what to do. I left and called Katy and kinda laughed about just leaving. So I came home and started coming to church Then we came together and I Thought everyone was just crying in church till I felt the spirit and I do all week every week now God Knows what's in our hearts and truly gives us what we need and not what we just think we want. I never thought I would come back to church. And truthfully used to drive by here thinking I would never come here. But as I said he gives us what I need and this was truly it. Even during great adversity I have been feeling very relaxed and in control of late. I am more patient with my family and my co workers. I feel more deeply in love with my wife and closer than I think I have ever been.

How I live my faith

I recently converted to LDS and received a calling to work with the youth as the young men's presidency secretary. Being part of my community is important to me. I have been my daughters PTA President and help with service whenever I am able. I've gone to help clear trees after a hurricane to cutting elderly peoples grass.
