Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a Husband, father of 3 girls, and a Fighter Pilot....I'm also a believer in Christ and a Latter-Day Saint.

About Me

I grew up in Phoenix, AZ as the youngest of 6 kids. I played football, basketball, and baseball and ran track in High School. After HS I was recruited to play college football at the United States Air Force Academy. After my first season I left the Academy to serve a 2 -year religous mission to South Africa to teach the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. That wonderful experience helped prepare me for the rest of my life and allowed for opportunities to serve God's children. I returned to the Academy and graduated and recieved a commission into the USAF. I married my sweetheart in the Temple for time and all eternity and we began our life with the Air Force. I completed pilot training and began flying the F-15C and we had a set of twin girls. After a couple moves from CO to TX to FL to AK to NM we had our third daughter. I have served in many capacities in the church and I have loved them all. I now fly the F-22 and we are a happy family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon (a Christian labeled Mormon because we also read from the Book of Mormon that contains writings from prophets that were compiled centuries ago by a prophet named Mormon) that knows God loves each of us. He gave us the agency to choose to come to earth to be born and experience this test of life and provided his Son as a Savior for us to provide mercy to encompass the judgements that would come upon us due to sin and transgression. The message of the gospel is that following the commandments provides peace in this life and eternal life in the world to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by recognizing that we are here for a purpose...in a state of preparation for the 2nd coming of our Lord and Savior. My wife and I raise our family (which consists of our Heavenly Father's children that are on loan to us) to follow God's commandments and learn how to feel the Spirit. We are not perfect, but continue to work out our salvation before God in prayer and fasting. We try to live to always have the ability to feel the Spirit in our lives for the comfort, counsel, and direction it provides from our Heavenly Father. We do not drink, smoke, or put ourselves in environments where the Spirit cannot be felt or discerned. This ability to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost is a blessing from God that helps my wife and I make all our decisions.
