Hi I'm Kendra

I'm from Colorado and I'm a mom to two little kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Colorado. I play the flute and piano, and when I was in high school I thought I wanted to be a musician. I got my BA in History and wanted to go to Law School, but after 1 year of school, it didn't work out. I was a linguist in the US Army, where I met my husband who is still active duty. I love to read novels. I'm a stay at home mom and have two beautiful little children. I am going to night school for business right now.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the Church, there came a time when my testimony wavered and I prayed to know what I believed. Very, very deep in my heart I felt that I knew that Christ atoned for my sins and my pains so that I could be forgiven and saved. I knew that there had to be someone out there who knew exactly how I felt in my sufferings, and I knew that Jesus had done this for me. I try to do the best I can in following the commandments because I feel that this shows my appreciation for what He has done for me. I gained my testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints after reading these scriptures and applying them to the Church: “By their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matt. 7:20.) “For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. “… Every tree is known by his own fruit.” (Luke 6:43–44.) The Church has good fruit, and therefore I knew it was good.

How I live my faith

I'm a teacher at church. I love it, and I love reading the manual lessons and the referenced scriptures. All I do is prepare the ideas and then facilitate a discussion. You really do learn the most by teaching others.
