Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a small town girl living in a big city with my husband and my little boy, Jack. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 21 and have been married for just over a year. In March 2013 I became a mother to a gorgeous little boy we named Jack. He came 3 months early, so that was a struggle, but we put our trust in the Lord and it all worked out. I'm a Type 1 Diabetic. I love scrapbooking and working out. I love traveling, football, and One Tree Hill. I've read all the Work and the Glory books ten times over. I wish I could have gone to Hogwarts. I drink way too much Diet Coke. I love baking and cooking. I'll take a burger over a salad any day. I'm an avid blogger. I read trashy celebrity gossip and watch a lot of reality television.

Why I am a Mormon

I love what the church teaches about eternal families. I love the idea that I can be with my grandparents, parents, brothers, husband, and future children for eternities to come. My family is the most important thing in my world, and the thought of losing them terrifies me. I know that the temple is somewhere we can go to be sealed with our families for time and eternity. I love taking the sacrament every Sunday and knowing that my mistakes for the previous week have been forgiven and I'm starting anew.

How I live my faith

I'm the secretary of the Young Women's organization in my ward, which includes planning activities, teaching lessons, and scheduling the leaders!

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Mormons live just like non-Mormons live! The only real difference is that we dress modestly (even when the weather is hot), we don't drink alcohol, we don't smoke tobacco (or anything, for that matter), and we don't believe in pre-marital sex. My husband and I both work full-time jobs and work with all non-Mormons and those are the only differences we've noted. We grocery shop, go to movies, take road trips, work out in gyms, and eat dinner together.
