Hi I'm Angela

I'm a mom of four from toddler to teen, preparedness blogger, lover of all things outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my sweet husband for 16 years and have four amazing children. We love to get outdoors together. We camp, hike, fish, target shoot, and garden together. I enjoy sewing, and our family participates in historical reenactments of the US Colonial and Mountain Man eras. I write a blog about food storage and preparedness.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed with some special experiences in my life. I have attended church since I was young, but had to learn for myself that the gospel is true. One event that greatly strengthened my own testimony was in 1997. At the time, my husband and I worked in theater and were privileged to work on the set construction and as part of the stage crew for the Church's Pioneer Sesquicentennial Spectacular in Provo, UT. This show was put on to commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the Mormon pioneers entering the Salt Lake Valley. As stage crew, we didn't even get to watch the whole thing, but there was a spirit there that I will never forget. Shortly after the show ended we made the commitment to be sealed in the temple together and more fully live the gospel of Jesus Christ. That decision has brought many great blessings into our lives. I love the peace that comes from knowing that I am a child of God and that he has a purpose for me on this earth.

How I live my faith

I work with the primary children at church. It is a special blessing to be able to touch the lives of the youth and help them feel the love of our Heavenly Father. As a family, we pray and read scriptures together and the favorite night of the week is Family Night where we all gather together to have a lesson, serve others, play games, and of course have treats!
