Hi I'm Frank

I am from a small town in central Pennsylvania and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I worked in residential construction for most of my adult life and I am now semi-retired due to health problems. I have been married for over 35 years and we have 3 children and 1 grandchild (so far). I returned to school 4 years ago and earned a degree in accounting. I have been involved in the Boy Scouts for a long time. I think that it is the best organization in the world for developing good citizens. My hobbies include reading, gardening, and woodworking. I am also interested in astronomy and meteorology.

Why I am a Mormon

Years ago, when I was investigating the church, I talked with the minister of the church that I attended. I asked him about some of the things that I had been discussing with the missionaries and he said "If you can find a church that can answer those questions, join it." So I did. I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the reality of the restoration. I received this testimony from the Holy Ghost as a result of study and prayer. I read the scriptures every day and I look forward to attending Sunday School so that I can learn more. The Church is such a big part of my life that I cannot imagine life without it.

How I live my faith

I enjoy attending church services every week. I have held many different callings over the years and I am currently serving as the financial clerk and as a counselor in the Elders Quorum presidency. Also, I am filling in as the organist (which is kind of funny since I am very hearing impaired-think Beethoven). I taught the youth (ages 12 thru 17) for 21 years and I am still filling in as a substitute when needed. In 1986, I was given the assignment to function as the Physical Facilities Representative for my unit. I am still filling that assignment 26 years later (Joke: the difference between callings and assignments is that callings usually have an end whereas assignments may not.) I am the only member of the church in my family so I try to set a good example. I am always ready to answer questions.
