Hi I'm Chris

I love to make people laugh. I love to sing. I'm a devoted son, brother, and uncle. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Chris. I'm 20 years old. I live in Arizona. One of my biggest hobbies is music. I LOVE it! Listening to it, writing it, dancing to it... everything! One of the ways I make it is by singing in a band. We're taking a little break right now as we serve 2 year missions, but we have played venues all around the East Valley. One of the things that we in our band decided early on was to make music that people could relate to, but keep it clean, both in language and message. The way I figure it, if one of our songs can keep someone from listening to some vulgar song about drugs and immorality, that's a win! I have always written my music with that in mind. Besides songwriting, comedy is also a huge part of my life! I adore being able to make people laugh so that they, if but for an instant, can forget their troubles. I enjoy a good chuckle every now and again, myself! If there are any things in my life sweeter to me than music and laughter though, it's family and faith. I love my family of 7 with all of my heart. I have my parents, 3 sisters, a brother, a sister-in-law, and two nephews

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is God's church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church on the earth today! It has within it all the rights, powers, and authority that existed in the same church directed by God through Adam, Abraham, Moses, and all the Bible prophets, including the Son of God Himself, Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon, and have felt the Holy Spirit touch my soul. I know it is true. The bible teaches that "By their fruits ye shall know them." (Matt. 7:20). I have tasted the fruit of this church, and it is oh, so sweet to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping out whoever I can! I understand that life can be seriously hard, having a twin sister with a Traumatic Brain Injury. But I know God loves us, all of us, and one way He shows that love is through His other children. That is why I try to bless the lives of whoever I can. One of the best ways I know how to do this is through laughter and music. A crying shoulder is always nice to catch up all your tears, but laughter is the best medicine and music can be balm to the soul! Besides all that, I try and live my faith just by being kind to people. The Savior spent His days cheering up the sad, and comforting those that mourn. Shouldn't we spend some time doing the same? The Gospel of Christ isn't just a passive thing, it is part of who I am! Also, I'm serving as a missionary for 2 years in Vegas, baby!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Chris
They proselyte because they love God, and they know God loves His other children (their sprit brothers and sisters). And because God loves them, they love them, and they want them to have everything they have, know everything they know, and do everything they have done. In short, they want everyone to return to their heavenly Father and be with their families forever! Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Chris
Family is so important, because families are everything! God has chosen families as the social unit of time and eternity. After all, we are all, as His spirit sons and daughters, part of His divine family. The family is ordained of God, and through special ordinances, can extend into the eternities. How beautiful is that?! The people we love on this Earth can be with us for ever and ever. There are few things in this world that can bring anywhere near the amount of comfort we can recieve by knowing this! But families aren't just blessed by the Gospel in the next life. Oh no! The Gospel can greatly increase our joy as a family here and now! Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can strengthen our family relationships, bolster our love for one another, increase unity, and truly make our homes a heaven on earth. In our families, we are better able to understand and apply Gospel principles, not only bettering us as families, but as individuals as well. Like, I said, families are everything! Show more Show less
