Hi I'm Rachel E. C.

I am a teenager. I live in Utah. I love to travel. I hope to someday make a change in the world. I love to sing. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am sixteen years old. I love to talk, sing and play the piano. I love to read books and then review them on my small blog. I love to travel and go places. My favorite place in the whole world is Bear Lake, Idaho. I hope to someday go to Europe. I play tennis on the high school team and I love it, I'm also in the two highest choirs in my high school! I love this church and I know it is the best thing that I have in my life. I hope to someday change the world and its standards by becoming a politician. I go to Seminary regularly. I love talking about the gospel to people, especially my friends and family. I love movies. I love any kind of music. And I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

On my Mom's side her family has been members since the church was first formed. But on my Dad's side of the family he was the first to join the church. All because a friend was courageous enough to invite my Dad to church I am here right now. I am a member not only because it's expected of me but because I love this church and everything about it. It is truly the greatest blessing in my life. Church for me isn't something that I just go to, it's about the gospel and what it means. I don't just remember my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ on Sunday, I remember them everyday in every aspect of my life. I am constantly praying to my Heavenly Father, whether it's about school, friends or over a meal. I know that He answers my prayers and that's what keeps me going every single day. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Every week I attend church, even if we are out of town my family and I find a way to get there and I never complain. I attend Seminary, a class offered at high school or early morning before school, with my friends, I come diligently and participate and learn about the gospel. It is by far my favorite class. I play the piano for my seminary class and I also play the piano for my young women's group every Sunday and Tuesday. Every Tuesday my ward has mutual, an activity for youth to come together and socialize and learn more about gospel principles like service I am one of the youth leaders so I help to plan many of the activities. I read my scriptures, I am currently reading the bible, and pray every morning and night. I share my testimony of Jesus Christ to my friends and family regularly.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Rachel E. C.
If you know someone who is an active Mormon I can almost guarantee that they would love to talk about the church with you, and since you are already on here all you have to do is start chatting with someone and I guarantee that they would love to talk to you. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Rachel E. C.
As a primary song states: Faith is like a little seed if planted it will grow. Faith is simple. Faith is believing the sun will rise. Faith is believing in Christ even though you can't see him. Faith is believing in things unseen. Show more Show less

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Rachel E. C.
Men are the only ones who can hold the Priesthood because it is their holy calling. Women do not hold it because they have the holy calling of bearing children. The Church is not being sexist, it's a commandment from God. Women can having callings in church where the do have authority. For example if you are the Relief Society president then you can participate in Ward Council. Ward Council decides things in the Ward like planning parties and helping less or non active members start coming to church. Show more Show less
