Hi I'm Eric

I was born on a farm. Now I'm a music major. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, studying choral music education. I love making music and sharing that love with others. I decided to major in music education so I can watch others grow to love music like I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church has helped me come closer to God, to Jesus Christ, and to my family. One of the leaders of the church recently said that the overall purpose of the LDS Church is to help families live happily together. I have found this happiness in my life, and I know that these family relationships continue even after this life on earth is over, that I will always be married to my wife, and it's not just together "til death do we part." I have found that I am happiest in my family when we are all trying to live like Jesus lived, and doing what he did. I have learned that when I trust in God, He is always there for me; He knows me personally, and He is concerned for my growth and progression through life. I know that He loves me.

How I live my faith

We use the term 'active' in the church to describe members of the church who consistently attend weekly meetings. Active is exactly what I try to be, not just going, but being active in meetings and activities. As one of the leaders of our congregation, we visit with families every week, we organize activities like barbecues and sporting events, and I try to be active in lessons and discussions on Sundays. It's such a great blessing to be involved like this because I get to know my neighbors, and these neighbors become friends, and I like living in a community where I feel surrounded by friends.
