Hi I'm Michael

I'm a mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it.

About Me

I'm 18 years old. My favourite hobbies are athletics, football and guitar. I am one of five children, myself being the oldest, so I try to set a good example for my younger siblings. I'm currently serving as a missionary in the Norway Oslo Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves me and he loves you too. I know that we have a Father in Heaven who guides and watches over us to keep us safe and who helps us so we can return to him. I also know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he really did restore the gospel to the Earth. He did translate the Book of Mormon and I know it is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to my local church every Sunday and learning about the gospel. I help teach the members of our church regularly by visiting their homes and teaching them about Jesus Christ and the love He has for them.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Michael
God loves all of his children. He has given men and women different responsibilities and privileges. God has given men the responsibility to hold the priesthood but women play a tremendous part in the church. Women have their own organisation called the Relief Society whose purpose is to help and administer to those in need. They come together to strengthen themselves and each other. Men and women are different and have different responsibilities but God loves each of us; we are equal in our differences. Show more Show less
