Hi I'm Jayme

I grew up in California with my 4 other siblings. I have four lovely children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 children and have been married for 15 years. I graduated from BYU -Utah in Animal Science, Vet Tech Emphasis. I love animals, hiking, horseback riding, running and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the church and so I was raised into the church, baptized at 8 years old. I gained my testimony attending church every Sunday growing up and learning the gospel and the Book of Mormon and Bible stories from my Sunday School teachers. However it wasn't until I attended BYU-Utah, my freshman year that I actually gained my confirmation that the Book of Mormon was true. I had to read the Book of Mormon for my religion class that semester and I had an experience where I prayed about it's truthfulness and I received an overwhelming feeling that YES! the Book of Mormon is true. I remember bawling my eyes out because it was the feeling that I had always heard so much about when the Holy Ghost speaks to us. The warm comforting feeling is all I can describe it as but it was like 10 times that feeling. I was so thankful to now know of it's truthfulness. I have had the spirit testify of His gospel and it's truthfulness since then but in a lesser degree. That experience is so special to me because it was an answer to my prayer through the spirit. One that I cannot deny. Jesus Christ is our savior and I am so ever grateful for His Atonement. I am grateful for the Latter-Day Prophets that speak to us today and give us His guidance. It is amazing what the church has done to become what it is today. I am so thankful for it in my life.

How I live my faith

I am very involved in serving others and serving the community. I am good at serving 'behind the scenes' and am currently serving in my church as the secretary for the women's organization. I help organize the monthly events for the women in our ward. I plan meetings, gather information for a monthly newsletter, visit those members who may be sick or have an injury, make meals for those families who just had a new baby, visit new members to our ward in their homes, visit the women who are assigned to me on a monthly basis to teach them a message and see to their well being. I also have 4 children in which I volunteer in the classroom for the younger two each week. For my older daughters, I volunteer in an after school club called "Friends of Rachel Team" to help students be an example of doing kind acts for others in the school to help eliminate bullying and feelings of poor self esteem.
