Hi I'm Mj

Serving the Lord and sharing the Gospel to all that hear it is my main priority as a Full time sister missionary.

About Me

My name's Maria J. Hernandez (aka Mj). I was born in Venezuela but I live in Miami, Florida. I love anything that has to do with music and I love to hang out with friends and of course, my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true and that this Gospel is true. My mom used to be a church hopper and she told me how she never felt the spirit in her life until she went to a mormon church. She then got baptized in to the church and i was raised in it. There came a time where I also wanted to see what other religions were like, so I visited other religions. I knew then that no religion was compared to mine. I know this church is true and that our Heavenly Father has a plan for each and every one of us. He knows each and every one of us by our full names. I'm very thankful to Christ for the Atonement because without it, we wouldn't be able to get back to our Father in Heaven. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and I'm also thankful that he restored this church for all of us. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in various ways. I always love to participate in anything that has to do with community service and helping others. I have a calling in my branch and its being a transition coordinator. I help 18-30 year olds transition into YSA ( which is Young Single Adults). I also like to participate in church choirs and small church activities. I go to Family Home Evening (FHE) on Tuesdays, Mutual on Wednesdays, and Institute on Thursdays. Any other activities planned on any other days, expect me there!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

All Mormons are not required to serve a mission. Young men in the age of 18 are required to serve a mission but are not forced to do it if they don't want to. Young women can serve at the age of 19 now and only if that young lady wants to serve a mission. Also, married couples and retired seniors can serve missions as well. It is an amazing experience to be representatives of our church and to serve our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ full-time. Show more Show less
