Hi I'm Jared

I grew up moving all over the United States. I am an Eagle Scout and have perfect pitch. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some hobbies of mine include reading, playing piano, cooking. I am currently a college student and recently finished my sophomore year. I am about to serve a full-time mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but didn't even start building my testimony around age 12 or so. Also, my testimony hasn't been static, it's grown steadily over these many years. I never had one huge life-altering event, but rather smaller, but still meaningful spiritual experiences that testified of the truthfulness of the restored gospel. Each one of these experiences have added a little bit to my testimony to bring it up to where it is today. I know that Heavenly Father loves us, that Jesus Christ descended below all things to open the way back to Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and translated the golden plates using the power of God, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that today's prophet, Thomas S. Monson, is called of God.

How I live my faith

Since I play piano, most of my previous callings have included playing the Organ on Sundays to accompany the choir and/or the entire congregation.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Jared
Anyone can be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and can be baptized into it at age 8. Race or color do not keep anyone from joining the church. *ALL* worthy males are eligible to receive the holy priesthood and exercise its authority, without regard for race or color.
