Hi I'm Brittany

I grew up in a Navy family. I've been called to serve in the Kentucky Louisville Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a military family. I've lived in five states and I've met many people. I love to learning new things and being with my family. I have tons of hobbies and interests; reading, camping, fishing, music, dancing, sports, hiking, history, serving others, teaching people new things, etc. I come from a blended family with several different hobbies and talents. I'm about to go on a mission to Kentucky!

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't really active in the church until I was about 13. But since then, I've studied and prayed to find answers to several questions I've had; Is the gospel taught in this church the true gospel? Is the Book of Mormon true? Is there a prophet today? Was Joseph Smith one of them? Is the Plan of Salvation true? I've found answers to these questions and many other personal questions in the past few years. I can't deny the comfort I've felt and the guidance I've received when I needed it. When I have done the things that the Lord has asked me to do, I have been blessed and He has never let me down. I've also been able to feel of His forgiveness when I've done something wrong. I continue to follow the gospel because Heavenly Father has continued to answer my prayers and I know He and His Son Jesus Christ both love me.

How I live my faith

In the Mormon church many people have a calling, or a duty, that they perform. I serve as the music coordinator, a counselor in the Relief Society (the church's woman's group), and an assistant consultant to our family history specialist. I also attend a young single adult branch of the church. Our branch participates in several service projects in our community and I try to participate in these projects as often as I can.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Brittany
Absolutely! Throughout the Bible, we read about many different prophets such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Isaiah who were called by God to teach the gospel and to protect people from both physical and spiritual danger. It doesn't make sense to me that He would just stop sending a prophet to lead His people. God loves us and wants to guide and help us through this life, so He sends prophets. Show more Show less
