Hi I'm Diana

I grew up in Chihuahua Mexico. I love music, books, and learning different languages. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I Love the arts! Music is my passion! Music is what feeling sounds like. I love to express myself through song. It is one of the most beautiful forms of expression out there! I truly believe that music can heal, restore, and transform us. Dance is another thing I absolutely love and enjoy! Perhaps because I am Latina :) but I have always enjoyed dancing. I especially enjoy ballroom dancing. When I attended the university I participated in ballroom competitions--mostly doing waltz, tango, and quick step. Later I learned folkloric dances from all around the world. Perhaps my favorite class! I love learning about different cultures, people, and customs. I admire and respect so much all the beauty that surrounds us and the variety of all peoples, lands, and cultures. I live in two worlds. One is a world of books. I have fought alongside Napoleon, sailed a raft with Huck and Jim, rode a sad train with Ana Karenina, and lived in hiding with the young Anne Frank. It's a rewarding world but my second world is far more superior. My second world is populated by less eccentric characters--the special people in my life like my family and friends. These are they that have helped me to grow and develop and inspired me to be all that I can be. My mentors..my friends. I am grateful for my family. Friends are family you choose. :) I love to learn and another of my passions is learning different languages in order to better appreciate other cultures and beliefs.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ is simply and humbly that I know with all of my heart that it is true. I know that my Savior lives and that He loves us. I know that He knows me better than I know myself. I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who is ever so watchful of His children. I am grateful for the plan of happiness and for living in this world to progress and become all that He has intended for me to become. I am grateful for the eternities that I will be with my family forever. I am grateful for the great atoning sacrifice of my Savior. That He died for us so that we might live again forever in eternal joy. I know God lives! I know He is real! I know we are here for a purpose which will extend far beyond this life. I know that I am a daughter of God for I have found Him in the details of my life. He is as close as our heartbeat, as close as our next breath. My Savior has been my greatest example of all that I aspire to be. I kneel before His wounded feet, hands, and side, amazed at the love He offers me. I have learned in life that when all seems impossible that God will make it possible through our faith in Him. All we have to do is surrender and allow His love to lift us up and show us the way for we are never alone. It has been in moments of sorrow and joy that I have found His companionship through it all. He is first and foremost a Father and when I pray I can feel that I am just His little girl and that He loves me. I testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know... I have always known it to be true. And even now, I know more fervently than ever before that He lives and that He loves us. I am grateful for this knowledge that brings peace and comfort to my soul. I wish that I will live my life in such a way to show my love to Him who has given me everything I have and everything I am and everything I will ever be...

How I live my faith

Service is an important part of my life. The more we serve the more love we grow for others and the happier we become. Whether it be a quick visit to a friend or a note saying you care or making a meal for someone who is sick... those little acts of kindness will always go a long way. I have found through personal experience that the fastest way to forget myself and my struggles is to go and serve someone else. I try to live my life by always leaving people better than I found them. We may forget what people say but we can never forget how they make us feel. I always want to strive to be that kind of a person that restores, heals and helps others be happier than when I found them.
