Hi I'm Brian Andrew Bishop

I am number 4. I love books and movies. I am a son of God. I am a missionary. I can change the world. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a loveable goofball. I am the 4th of 8 kids. I love to travel. I have lived in Italy for 2 years. I am a whiz at quotes, games, puzzles, and weaving together a story. I dabble in calligraphy. I love competition. I love to serve. I dabble in creating literature. I am intellectual and I love fantasy and mythology... wierd combo huh? I love school. I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church because this is where the fullness of the everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's entirety resides. I may have been born into the church. However, like everyone else I needed to learn for myself whether or not this is the truth. After returning from a family trip to Italy, I happened to become an aggressive/pessimistic agnostic masked as LDS for most of my adolescent years over the course of a few years; however, I slowly returned to activity as an LDS member over the next several years. I had gone into a void. And I refused to accept anything other than what I could do. I "thought" I could do it myself. I was dead wrong. Almost literally... I'll admit that it was completely my fault. Unbeknownst to everyone, I had decided I was done with how things were going. I was close to my limit, but thanks to one was inspired, who listened.. I found strength. As done as I was, I was willing to give it one last chance. I said a prayer to God asking him to reveal himself, if he really was there, and to stop me, if he truly cared. He didn't manifest physically, but he made his presence known... he sent people to rescue me. He knows my needs and he knows yours. He truly knows us individually. He truly does care for each and every one of us. The road of healing and recovery was long. But I'm still moving forward. It's all been worth it. Many times over. Ever since that point, there have been times where I almost lose hope. Each time I was brought to that point, I would cast my mind to the times that The Lord speaks peace to my mind and grants me the ability to move forward, to be of good courage. Every time The Lord remains true to his promises, so long as I strive to stay true to mine. This is why I have chosen to be a representative of Jesus Christ. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have participated in the Boy Scouts of America. I am an Eagle. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary. Proclaiming the gospel in the far-away land of Vancouver Washington. Prior to my mission, I wasn't headed the best direction. However, since then I have been working on creating my best work... myself. I believe in God, the Eternal Father, and his Son, Jesus Christ. I know that it is by them that mankind has any hopes for progression. I am grateful for their grace and mercy, which brings me strength to this day. I believe in the Revelations given o the prophets of old and those who ministered alongside the Messiah. I believe in the principles organization, and ordinances that the Savior established as part of his church. I believe that this and many other truths were lost with the authority after the deaths of the apostles. I believe that the reformers were inspired of God to prepare the world spiritually for the great restoration of truth. I believe that the Founding Fathers of America were inspired by God to create the circumstances whereby a restoration would thrive. I believe that Joseph Smith was exactly who he claimed to be and I am grateful for his courage to follow Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God... For he has revealed this to me. I cannot deny this. I believe in being a force for good. In being trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. I believe in truth. I believe in seeking after such said things. This is part of why I have devoted my live to God. This is part of why I'm a missionary.
