Hi I'm Steven Bell

I love Taylor Swift, she wrote a song about me, I love to wear backwards hats, I live for good watermelon, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I like to travel I've been to: United States of America (30+ States), Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Antartica, Africa, Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and I'm sure there are more I forgot. I hope to go to Asia and Australia in 2015. Then I will have been to all 7 continents by the age of 22. I also love McDonald's soft serve ice cream cones, Nicholas Sparks movies, and star gazing in the middle of 'no wheres'.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but for the longest time, I did not know why I went. I thought by going to Church every Sunday was good, but I did not know too much about the doctrine in the Church. As the teenage years arrived my faith was tested with political campaigns specific for California. I knew that I had to choose one way or the other and that I could not live both lives. So.. After going to EFY and seeing that it is "cool to be good", I chose God's plan. Sure, I mess up now and again, but through God's plan I know that I can be forgiven and be clean through sincere repentance. I love this Church, knowing that Christ gave up his life for me brings so much peace of mind. He did not have to, but He did because He loves me, you, and everyone. This Church is TRUE, it theologically, financially, phychologically, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and mentally makes sense! Other Churches are great, in fact, if it was not for Martin Luther or John Wesley or other major figures in early Christiandom after the death of Christ we may not have been blessed with the Restored Gospel. So now, I just try to be a good little boy and do what is right and I know that as I do the will of the Lord that I will be blessed hundredfolds. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live it by smiling and being myself, sure it may not always be the best missionary moments, but there is a very profound quote in life "always preach the Gospel, and when needed, use words." I am a firm believer that we do not always need to be knocking on doors to 'Preach the Gospel', even though I am doing that right now for the South Dakota Rapid City Mission stationed in Casper Wyoming speaking Spanish 18 months into my mission! Thank you Mr. President.
