Hi I'm Nathan Edwards

I grew up in northern Utah. and am now serving a mission in the South Dakota, Rapid City mission. 2012-2014

About Me

I love to read. I'm Serving a Mission. I'm from a family of 7 kids and both parents. I'm close to my ward and my Extended Family. i'm a huge reader, in my free time i'll grab about anything that has a story with it. i'veprobably read more books in my 20 years than a lot of people read in a life time. but there is always more to read. I'm a stable guy, life throws a lot of curve balls at me witch is ironic because I'm bad at sports. but even though the shock is hard to come back from, i know that through faith in Christ i can over come anything. I'm always learning I'm always changing, and with Christ i have big plans for the future. and i'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS Church. it's been my life blood. All the good things in my life can be contributed to the church, I've made mistakes, terrible ones, but I'm only human, and every time i went on that road to recovery Jesus Christ, God, and this church have always been the first step. i know this church is true, i can't deny it,it is a part of me and every bad thing that has ever happened to me can relate to being disobedient to the church and it's teachings. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true and it will bring you happiness in this life and Salvation in the next. it won't be easy but it will be worth it. it always has.

How I live my faith

I'm serving a mission right now and I'm always on the look out for service or conversation. i never miss church, and always obey the commandments.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Nathan Edwards
Yes there has always been a bible, but the bible is used to teach about God's church, and when the Apostles died the authority to lead the church was taken away. plus people have been arguing about the bible for over 2000 years so the Book of Mormon and the Bible support each other in showing people the one strait path, plus with the Restoration and Prophets today we have that divine authority and guidance that was around in the days of Jesus Christ. Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Nathan Edwards
well first off you never know when the worst will happen so it's good to be prepared. but more to the point is that we want to take care of ourselves and our families. it's like one big family if one member is strugeling onother one steps in to help. but we have to help ourselves before we can help anyone else. and my favorite self-reliance quote. "give aman a fish he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish he will eat for a life time. Show more Show less
