Hi I'm Lindsay Evans

I grew up in Southern California. I am a full-time missionary serving in Hawaii. I love to give service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of three children and I grew up in Southern California. I attended a year of college, but have taken some time away from school to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hawaii. I love to play the piano and sing, but I also love to be outdoors. I love to travel and experience the various corners of the world. The world has so much to offer and there is so much to learn! Trying new things is an adventure and meeting new people is something I will never get tired of.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints [Mormon church]. I grew up being taught and living by basic gospel principles and doctrines. I knew that they made me happy and helped me in my personal life, but it wasn't until years later that my faith truly began to develop. In my early years of schooling it was not always easy to stand up for what I believed to be true. I began to recognize that I needed to have a firm belief in order to make decisions that would positively affect my future. Little by little I studied the scriptures and prayed. God always gave me just enough light to be able to take one more step ahead in my life and slowly my relationship with Him began to develop. As I trusted in Him, I started to see that He knew me better than I knew myself and was helping me to live my life to its fullest because He loved me. Though the challenges in my life never got any easier, handling them did. Through every step of the way God was by my side. He still is. He is there for every one of us who will turn our hearts to Him in order to ask for His help and guidance. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I love my Father in Heaven. I know that they live. They have given us the Bible and the Book of Mormon, as well as prophets and apostles in order show us love us their love more fully while we are here on earth. I have, little by little, received a personal witness of these things and I am eternally grateful for their matchless love for me and for all of us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving. Reaching out to others and building relationships brings me a lot of joy. I hope to bring that same joy into the lives of others that I come across. I try to take every opportunity to serve my community, friends, and family. I also love to read the scriptures. It is a simple task, but it is something that helps me every day to grow closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. The little things I do such as praying, attending church, and simply smiling keep me going in the hardest as well as in the easiest times of my life.
