Hi I'm Josh

I am a web designer, 3D artist, blender hobbyist, amateur film maker, musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student still searching for the right major. I love music and computer science so I'm hoping to do something with that, especially in the film industry. I would love to score movies, or animate, or direct, or write, or anything really. I've do some of all of that in my free time and hope to make a profession out of it some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't chose to be a Mormon, I was born into the religion. Growing up, however, I was always encouraged to make my own decisions. This wasn't necessarily my parent's teaching, but in fact the church's teaching. There was a time in my life when I wasn't sure if the church was true. I didn't want it to be, because that would make a lot of things a lot easier, but I knew that I had to be honest with myself and assess my religion from a completely unbiased perspective. I thought long and hard and over the next few years about everything I learned at church and tried to place it logically. I also asked my friends about their religions and tried to learn as much as I could about all the faiths I saw around me. After a few years I came to the conclusion that I had only one choice to make. I had to decide whether there was a God or not. If there was, than the only plausible religion I had found was Mormonism (LDS). I decided at the time that the benefits were greater if I were to act as if there was a God. Thank heavens I did. I've learned more about God and know for certain that he must exist and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints must be the true church. The majority of it's members are more Christlike than any other organization. I feel more at home in a Mormon church than any other place of worship. I know that this is the true church and I thank the Lord everyday for making sure I decided that there was, and is, in fact, a God back on that crucial day in my life.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a ward missionary preparing to serve here in my home ward. I will enter the MTC in a few months and am grateful for any preparation I can get.
