Hi I'm Austin Deppe

I'm an LDS missionary!

About Me

I've moved eleven times. I'm the oldest of five children. I'm currently serving a 2-year mission in the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission. After my mission, I plan to attend the University of Alaska at Anchorage to study professional aviation. I have a yellow Labrador Retriever, a Brittany, and a Tonkinese. I love spending time with my family. I like watching movies, reading books, and traveling (especially on planes). I have no family in Utah (surprise!). If I could live anywhere, it would no doubt be in Alaska; I love the cold.

Why I am a Mormon

I absolutely love this church. I'm lucky to have been raised in the Church. One huge reason I love the Church is the emphasis it puts on Jesus Christ, our Savior. It does not in any way stray from or alter His teachings and principles. I'm truly grateful to know that. I'm looking forward to serving my mission in Nevada to teach those willing to learn about the Church.

How I live my faith

I strive to attend church every Sunday. I love being around all the members, and it's easy to talk to/associate with them. I also try to get involved in service opportunities; nothing beats seeing a smile on someone's face when you've performed a service for him/her. I've helped out in Primary, to some extent. I've even had the opportunity to teach a few classes. Children are wonderful, as they are ever curious, and are nearly always willing to learn new things.
