Hi I'm Mason Harvey

I live in a large City, but I love the country. I enjoy snowboarding the most, but I play many other sports too and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a full-time missionary for the restored Church of Jesus Christ. I am serving in the Anaheim California Mission learning and teaching in the Spanish language. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Many of my hobbies take place outside; I love snowboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, hiking in the green Columbia River Gorge, and spending time with the family. I was born into the Church by a loving family and had eventually realized for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true and that Jesus Christ himself leads this church through a living Prophet today. My testimony is continuing to build thanks to the testimonies of others and my own efforts in serving the Lord. With the knowledge I have been given, I have no greater desire then to invite and help others come unto Christ by serving a full-time mission so that they can recieve all the blessings that are found within the restored Gospel. I have a hard time sharing my testimony with words, but I enjoy living it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because simply I know it is true with all my heart, but that took some time. Conversion is a process, not an event. As I applied the teachings of Jesus Christ in my own life, and lived the priciples of the Restored Gosepl, I began to recognize recieved blessings and a better way of life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a good example to those around me. Being a "mormon" has become a title, but I like to look at it as apart of who I am. The principles of the Gospel are what I live. They are my standards. The instructions from the living prophet today are my morals. My faith grows as I live the principles of the Gospel. Currently, I am living my faith by serving a full-time Mission by inviting others to come unto Christ and recieve the Restored Gospel so they also can recieve eternal blessings from our loving Heavenly Father.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Mason Harvey
Missionaries voluntarily sacrifice two years to serve the Lord and do not get paid for their service. The mission is to teach people about the Restored Gospel. There are missionaries all over the world. The Lords work is growing tremendously. Missionaries generally begin serving from ages 19 to 21 years old. It is considered an honor and privilege to show our love for the Lord by him with His great and marvelous work. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Mason Harvey
As a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, myself and all other missionaries share the important message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This message includes the Plan of Salvation that God has for all His children. We explain the Ten Commandments we read in the Bible and revealed commandments we have through a living prophet today. We also explain that the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our purpose in life boils down to five important principles; Faith, Repentence, Baptism, Recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the end. The evidence of the message we share and believe is found in another testament of Jesus Christ; The Book of Mormon. There is much to learn, but we sacrafice two years to explain it, because we know that it is worth an eternity. Show more Show less
