Hi I'm Johanna C. Elizan

I'm Filipina.I love dancing and reading inspirational messages. I've been a member since I was 4 years old.I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm Johanna Elizan. I'm 30 years old. I live in Iloilo City, Philippines.I'm married to Wilfredo Elizan Jr. We've been married for 5 years now and we don't have a baby yet, but we still enjoy each other's company. I belong in a big family. I have 5 sisters and 3 brothers. We're all members of the church. I became a member of the church when I was 4 years old.I'm presently working at CNS E-Lamp as an English Communication Specialist.I have worked in different firms.Prior to that I was also once a store supervisor of Shakeys a pizza restaurant.Since I'm an energetic person I love dancing, working, traveling and reading inspirational messages. My favorite food is baked OYSTER, I love eating seafoods but baked oyster became as one of my favorite, and Sang Gyup Sal is also my favorite. It's a korean food. Sticky rice with vegetables and bacon. The best thing that I've ever made in my life so far is when I got married in Manila Philippines Temple. I had mixed emotions at that time, I was happy, excited and a little bit sad because I had to leave my family and to live with my husband. Now I have accepted that situation. And everything is okay now.My stengths are my communication skills I can say that I can communicate well with others,I'm a people person and quick learner. My weaknesses are I'm a hardworker and sometimes work too hard and a bit perfectionist and want everything to be done right away. I'm also helpful that sometimes tend to forget myself. Life is beautiful.God loves us.

Why I am a Mormon

We are Christians,so as a Christian I believe in Jesus Christ.I am the Lord's daughter.I would like to share this with you that In 1838, Joseph Smith was told in a revelation that the Church should be called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Doctrine and Covenants 115:4).The Church has been known by that name since that time. Gordon B. Hinckley, prior President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has emphasized the Church’s correct name, saying: “We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. The official name of the Church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and He is the central figure in all of our worship.“The Church carries the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Redeemer of the world. It is His name by which this Church is officially called.“As for the term Latter-day Saints, members of the Christian Church anciently were called Saints (see Acts 9:32, Ephesians 2:19, Philippians 1:1).They were former-day Saints. We are the Latter-day Saints. It is that simple. “We are frequently called Mormons. It is a nickname given us because we believe in the Book of Mormon as the word of God, a book which goes hand in hand with the Bible, becoming a second witness for Jesus Christ.” Like Prophet Joseph Smith did, he searched for the truth. And I'm so thankful that he was able to restore the true church and that is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Life was never been so easy for him. He struggled just to live the gospel, just to know the truth and to save the Book of Mormon.Because of his example, and Chirst's example I am confident to live life to the fullest. I know that there's always an opposition in everything, we'll experience sorrow, and sadness but with the help of the scriptures and prayer we can overcome them.I'm so thankful for the missionaries who opened our hearts and mind to the truthfulness on the gospel. And I'm so thankful for Heavenly Father that he helped my family and I to know His gospel.

How I live my faith

I became a member of the church when I was only 4 years old. I've grown up being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And I love the way my parents support us and guide us as we grow. All of my family members are members of the true church.I've experienced being a primary,a seminary student,an institute student and now I'm married to a wonderful and handsome husband. We don't have any children yet.I used to worry about that but with the help of my patriarchal blessing it helped not to worry anymore because there it is stated that I'll become a mother to my children. Facing life's battle is never easy.Especially if you're faith is being tested.I've sacrificed a lot for my faith but it was never easy, but it's worth it. There was one time that the church standard was being used to test my faith. I had a non-member boyfriend and I invited him over the church activities because I want to help him accept the gospel but our relationship didn't work out. And I prayed to Heavenly Father that somebody I'll be able to meet a man who will love me as much as I love him. And because I followed God's commandment I was blessed to have a wonderful and loving husband. He did answer my prayer.Life is both sweet and bitter. My past experiences made me tougher today. Now I can say that sometimes I am confident enough to face life's battle, and I got that from the example of the prophets recorded in the scriptures. The scriptures, prayer and being active in the church became my helper in times of need.I've gained a testimony that if you'll start your day with a prayer and scripture study everything will fall into place, and you'll end up your day well.Living the gospel everything helped me live well, and always help me find a way to reach out to others. Because of my testimony Heavenly Father made everything to me easy. I always believe in what Pres. Thomas Monson once said " By learning of Him, , by Believing in Him, there is a capacity to become like Him.God is LOVE.
