Hi I'm Heidi Haglund

I love airplanes and phone calls and Thursdays. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of five children and I grew up in airports. My dad says I get "home sick" meaning I get sick of being home. I crave new skylines and stamps in my passport. Stick me in a foreign country for a day and I'll spend it getting lost, trying new foods, smiling the whole time. With a plane ticket in hand, the world seems a lot smaller. The more I travel, the more I realize how alike we all are. Every person on this earth is a son or daughter of God seeking happiness and peace. I have found that happiness and peace as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings more light into my life than anything else. It lightens my day and illuminates the path ahead of me. As long as I keep myself close to Jesus Christ, the light never dims.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission in Anaheim, California. Volunteering to wear a skirt for 18 months and wake up at 6:00 AM everyday might seem crazy, but there is something amazing about spending all my time helping others find peace in their lives through Jesus Christ. It's us against Satan out here and he's doing his best to make others feel lost and discouraged. My goal as a missionary is to do as the scriptures say and "chase darkness from among [me]." I want to spread the light of Jesus Christ to the whole world, but I'll start with California for now.
