Hi I'm Kelsey

I grew up all over the U.S. I served leprosy patients in India. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outside in the summer months! I love hiking, swimming, boating, and just spending time with my family. I enjoy reading and also watching a good movie. I recently married the love of my life after dating for a year. We met at college and are excited to start our new lives together. We both have one year left of school and then we will probably move out east for a job and grad school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. However, when I was seventeen, I felt that my standing with the Lord had been shaken. I felt that I had not obeyed His counsel in the manner that I should have. I sorrowed deeply and sought forgiveness from my maker. After many agonizing days, I began to have a greater understanding of the repentance process--I understood the atonement more fully. As I again knelt in humble prayer, I felt that my sins had been forgiven. All sorrow and despair had lifted and felt purely clean. I know that my sins can be made white as snow. My heart that once turned inward, now longed to reach outward and bless the lives of everyone I met. I continue to live the gospel because I know it is true. I have had many similar experiences since then. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me and that through Him, my life can be made so much more than what I could do with it alone. The gospel is fulfilling and happy. I know that my Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ live. Their love for each of is immense. The Lord wants all His children to return home to Him. His arms are stretched out still and welcomes all to "Come". I know that Joseph Smith restored the true church upon the earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have read and studied it extensively and know that these revelations are meant for our day--such a gift would only be given by a loving Father in Heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I participate in my church by serving as a sunday school teacher, working in the ward library, and playing the piano for the main meeting. I have been a faithful in visiting sisters in my church to fellowship them and love them. I participate in service opportunities around the community. I also live my faith by worshiping my Father in Heaven and reading the scriptures daily. My husband and I also pray and read scriptures together every day. We also have a night once a week where we spend time together and teach one another about the gospel and participate in wholesome activities.
