Hi I'm Glenn

I grew up on the Ohio River in Kentucky. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I've working with my hands most of my life as a sheet metal mechanic/industrial insulator. I've been lucky to travel a bit throughout my life, places like Japan, Costa Rica, Bahamas, and all over the United States. I also have a degree in Psychology, love to scuba dive and I'm into Biodynamic gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I consider myself a patriot, I love my country and its history. I came to realize that we once had God's blessings of prosperity, protection and liberty, but we seem to be losing those gifts. It came to me that this is because we, as a nation, have not held up our part of the covenant with God that was made by our founders to secure these blessings. As I thought about how I could help my country get back what we once had, I was left with the powerful feeling that I must first start with myself by making my own covenant with God. I searched and visited different churches but none seemed to be right for me. I was getting frustrated to the point of settling for the nearest chuch, when I remember reading about Glenn Beck's conversion story in his book "The Seven Wonders That Will Change Your Life." I did a little research and one day attended a service in my town; during the process of my investigation, I recieved what can only be described as devine clues telling me that the LDS Church is true and right for me. Since then, things have happened fast, I have made a covenant with our Heavenly Father, left my old life behind through Baptism, and I've found a sense of peace and well-being that I have never experienced before. I benefit greatly from my daily studies of the Book of Mormon, weekly sacrament and my new family that truly loves me almost as much as Heavenly Father!

How I live my faith

I'm new to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but I look forward to recieving callings and I enjoy volunteering in the community, my favorite being Dreamriders of Kentucky. The missionaries that come by regularly and teach me are a wonderful inspiration and resource, leading me down this right path I've chosen.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

When I destressed and uncluttered my life I was able to hear that still, small voice that pulled me to Him. This has been called the enticements of the Holy Spirit, and that's what it is for me. It's magnetic! Show more Show less
