Hi I'm Mallory

My name is Mallory. I am a wife, mother, and graduate. I work as a medical assistant. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a bachelors degree in the history of art. I have a son who is two years old. I've been married with my husband for almost 4 years. I enjoy good food, photography, fashion, and design. I love the Beatles and many other kinds of music. There's something exhilarating about driving in the car, singing loudly, listening to my favorite music. I love to travel and have been to many countries. My husband is British and we lived in the United Kingdom for almost 3 years. In the future, I hope to have more children and return to school to either get a masters in art history, or to maybe start nursing school. I love to sew. I love my sweet little boy and I love playing cars and trains with him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have received a witness from the Holy Ghost that the book of Mormon is true and that this church is the true church. I received this testimony when I was 14 years old. I was attending a church youth camp that my parents wanted me to attend. It was during the testimony meeting that I felt the spirit so strongly, and I knew that I had a testimony of my own as well. My testimony grew after that as I read the book of Mormon more closely and I took Moroni's challenge at the end of the book. I prayed with sincerity to know if the book of Mormon was true. I received an immediate peace and an answer that yes it is! You cannot fake or imagine such a flood of comfort and peace and assurance. I knew that I had been given the witness that the book of Mormon and the church are true, and if I continue to live the Commandments I will be in the right path. My testimony of the church, of my Savior and of the plan of salvation have only grown throughout my life. With marriage in the sacred temple, with the bringing into the world of my son, and with the overcoming of numerous trials through prayer and fasting, my testimony has been strengthened that this path is the only way to happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my experience in several different types of responsibilities in my church. I have been a Sunday school teacher, young women's president, Relief society secretary, and many other responsibilities. I live my faith by trying every day to live better, to pray and read scriptures with more sincerity and intent. I try to keep order and peace in my home. I try to teach my child at his young age to pray and to know heavenly father and Jesus Christ. With the convenience of technology nowadays, I try to read bits of scripture whenever I have free time. I try to be a loving, kind, and serving person to my friends and to strangers and others that I meet. I am loving to all people and I do not judge them harshly if they are not living my beliefs. I believe this is how Christ would want me to treat other people.
